Longstreets Red Rock Ranch!

Now Jack Longstreet was a one eared hombre with a bad temper from Texas, that was for sure. Supposedly caught cattle rustling in Texas as a boy is why he lost his ear, better than hanging.

Jacks early life in Nevada was based around Ash Springs just north of Vegas. He tried his hand at mining, ranching, saloon keeper, and was even said he had a drug store. Jack didn't like the white people very much, he seemed to have leaned to the Indians for fellowship. For companionship he even had a Indian squaw after coming to Nevada, (Fannie).

Now Jacks big problem was his temper, he always ended up shooting someone and having to leave. Thats why you can find his name all over Nevada. Longstreets travels led him to Moapa valley and then on to Sylvania to run a saloon. As always Jack got in with the local indians and casued trouble for a mine owner in the area, and to keep out of jail moved up to Ash Meadows and built a ranch. He would later move again up to the Momitor Range where he would have his last ranch. But while he was at his Red Rock Ranch, he became real good friends with a rancher named Breen See Breens Ranch who got murdered by the Cliffords. Now this is another story, the Cliffords claim to have found Breen dead, since they wanted his ranch, Jack took it they killed Breen. I guess thats why Jack killed them.

After the ruckess in Ash Meadows, Jack moved to the Monitor range and built another ranch. Photos of this ranch soon to come, read this again in a week or so!
