Piermont , White Pine County

Piermont ( 1869 - 1873 )

Piermont was a very short lived Camp Founded in 1869. Had Log Cabins with about 400 inhabitants. About all that remains are remnants of the Mill and a Cemetery on the ridge to the south. In 1920 it had a small revival which employed about 100 until 1936.

Heres a cement building and a log cabin.

Here is some old cars left behind and a picture of something that was carved on a log at one of the cabins.

Here is Stone remains of one cabin.

Here is a old building.

After our Sept 26, trip I added the mill foundation and the one grave at Piermont.

The name on the grave began E.C. something. The cement foundation looks like maybe a five stamp mill set there.
