Rileys Camp!Three weeks ago Joe brought Brian out here on Nov 7th, 2002. So Brian in turn brought me and my son Robert out. Not only does it have it's own cemetery down below, but there is a lot of stuff around here. And most of it is weird! This is like having a flash back to the 60's. This has to be a mining camp from days gone by, it go's with the A-frame just across the way. Besides the weird stuff there is a lot of mining equipment here too. We had a good visit and a great lunch while we were here, so it was worth the trip. But it seems since Brian was here last that the Government has moved in and taken over. They had signs everywhere. They seemed to be worried about someone stealing something from here, I didn't see anything I wanted. These Mojave National Monuments Suck! Only in California, for now. If they would quit covering the mine opening, and worry more about terrorist, they just might ketch some!
