Cave Spring!

This stone cabin near Silver Peak sets at a spring. We found it on a historical topo map as Cave Spring. I ask Al Frederick about the cabin to see if he knew anything about it. Al said that as he remembers the cabin was deserted some time in the late 20's and that the Dyer Ranch was using it as a line cabin after that. He didn't know what it originally was. To me this looks like a stage or freighter stop from Fish Valley in the earlier days. It has all of the markings of a stage stop with water and all.
