Thanks for putting up your site it was very interesting to me. I love metal detecting and in particular I enjoy Pahranagat Valley as I have family there. Bottles, and anything old as well as gold. I am interested in knowing about a story I heard about gold coins being burried in zink capped mason jars a ways south of Hiko at an old campsite. Ever heard this one? Looking for more info on it. P. S. the screensavers are awesome. I downloaded them all...LOL Darren Las Vegas

Gail and I visited your web site and really enjoyed the visit. Obviously a lot of time and effort has gone into the creation and maintenance of the site. The process of acquiring the information (the trips) sounds like fun, when the weather is good. Sorry I was unable to attend the graduation, but I had to travel to New York.
Kudos to you and your friends for a very interesting web site.

Great site for people who can only dream about the old wild west. i spend hours looking at pictures and reading of the days when men and women worked hard to make a life in difficult times.

The west was a hard life but these people had more in there short lives then we will in a life time.
all the adventures have gone, and we are more under the boot of the rich and powerful then ever before. our lives in the uk are slowly becoming bored to death.

being severely disabled after an accident my life is spent on dreams and I dream of visiting America and the ghost towns and the living towns of the west is all that keeps me going of late.

keep the pictures and pages going. thanks

Wonderful Stories! I printed them out so that I can read them to my husband on our way out yonder to search for treasures in the beautiful Nevada desert with our metal detector. We live on the Cal-Nev state line and explore Nevada frequently.
Thanks, Bonnie

Great website. My grandfather was buried in Ivanpah, CA - a silver and gold mining ghosttown from the late 1800's. Have you done research on cemeteries there? His name was Daniel A Taft, and he died in 1899.

I just stumbled across you guys by accident. My two stepsons and myself love exploring mines. I was told about a "war eagle mine" near Baker,Ca. When searching I came up with your site. The info didn't jive. What I am looking for was a very large cavern used for a fallout shelter with provisions and all. I suppose abandon, post cold war. What might you know? Love to hear back. Moe

You guys do it right! This is a great site. I visited Delamar about 20 years ago and enjoyed it very much. My family was in the mining industry in Marysvale Utah area in 1800s and 1900s so I realize how hard life was in those days. Good luck, Ken Dalton
